Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Loot & Ledger (the "Service"), operated by You Jern Veen ("we," "us," or "our"). By joining the waitlist, creating an account, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Loot & Ledger is a personal finance tracking application presented through a dark-fantasy theme. It is a tool for recording, organizing, and visualizing your own personal financial data — income, expenses, account balances, and reflections — as manually entered by you. It does not connect to, access, or move money in any real bank or financial institution.

You must be at least 18 years oldto use the Service. By using Loot & Ledger, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, and legality of any data you enter into the Service. All calculations, summaries, totals, and insights the app produces — including budget pulses, spending breakdowns, and AI reflections — are derived entirely from the data you enter, and are only as accurate as that data. We do not verify, audit, or guarantee the accuracy of any user-entered information.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, system, or data that is not your own.
• Attempt to breach, probe, or circumvent any security or authentication measure of the Service.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including through excessive automated requests.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except as permitted by law.
• Misrepresent your identity or impersonate any person or entity while using the Service.

You may terminate your account at any time using the in-app "Delete my account" feature, which permanently removes your account and associated data as described in our Privacy Policy.

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, misused the Service, or engaged in conduct that risks harm to us, other users, or third parties.

The Service, including its software, design, branding, artwork, and the "The Architect" persona and voice used throughout the app, is the property of You Jern Veen and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our branding, marks, or creative assets except as necessary to use the Service as intended. Your own financial data remains yours.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, You Jern Veen and its owners, contributors, and service providers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or financial loss, arising out of or related to your use of — or inability to use — the Service, including any decision made in reliance on information displayed in the app. This includes, without limitation, any financial or investment decision you make.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or accuracy. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
